02 March, 2022 - Genesis has claimed its second major award win in the UK with the G70 Shooting Brake taking the Best Estate at the 2022 UK Car of the Year Awards.
Category winners are voted for by 29 journalists from across the automotive industry in the UK, who drive more than 300 cars a year as part of their rigorous testing program.
This award is the second product win for the brand in Europe, and the first of 2022, marking a huge milestone for both the G70 Shooting Brake and Genesis.

The G70 Shooting Brake, a model that was specifically designed with Europe in mind, was commended for its styling, comfort and technology while the jury felt that it had the ability to “turn heads in the compact exec sector” and was a “stylish alternative to the familiar premium brands”.

Launched locally in late 2021, G70 Shooting Brake is a offered in a single highly appointed luxury model, priced from $79,000 MLP.
In Australia, G70 Shooting Brake is exclusively paired with a powerful 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder producing 179kW and 353Nm, driving the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission and limited slip differential.
A no-cost optional Sport Line Styling Package is offered, which brings a Sport Line interior, 19-inch sport alloy wheels, sport grille and dark chrome exterior highlights.
In addition to the plethora of recent overseas awards, Genesis triumphed at the prestigious 2021 Australian International Good Design Awards, with GV80 a winner in the Automotive and Transport Product category.
