Genesis Motors Australia launched in 2019 with the aim of redefining the luxury car purchase with an effortless ownership experience built around the Genesis To You concierge service.
Core to the Genesis To You service is being customer centric and therefore test drive experiences are brought to the customer, rather than the customer coming to Genesis.
As a result of COVID-19 and the need for social distancing, Genesis has reviewed the standard procedure for this service. As such, consumers who still want to experience a Genesis will be able to do so, however this will now occur without a staff member involved.
As opposed to an accompanied test drive with an experienced Genesis employee, vehicles will be delivered to the customer’s home or office, high touch areas will be sterilized and the vehicle will then be left with the customer for the duration of the evaluation.
“In the environment we currently find ourselves, two people sharing a car cabin no longer makes sense and does not meet the current distancing guidelines. We have therefore made changes for the safety of our staff and customers.” David Lederer, Head of Genesis Motors Australia said.
“We have customers that need to evaluate vehicles and together with the temperature checks we complete daily and the upgraded hygiene practices we’ve implemented, we believe we will continue to meet the needs of our customers while maintaining our obligation to the Australian community overall.” he said.
Genesis believes this updated practice allows them to continue their promise to Australians of a better car buying experience, one done on their terms, at a time and location that suits their needs.
