GENESIS MOTORS CANADA CONFIRMS NEW GRX LOCATION FOR DOWNTOWN VANCOUVER

· Genesis Downtown Vancouver will be first Genesis facility in province

MARKHAM, September 12, 2023 – Genesis Motors Canada and Dilawri, Canada’s largest automotive group, are proud to announce an agreement that the latest Genesis Retail Experience (GRX) facility to be added to the network of distributors will be located in downtown Vancouver. Expected to open July of 2024, this location will personify the new Genesis brand identity and will be the first of its kind in the province once it is completed.

The future location of Genesis Downtown Vancouver will be situated at 1718 W 3rd Ave, Vancouver, BC. The newest GRX facility to be announced will be in good company, as it resides within an area populated by premium luxury automotive brands.

Located in Downtown Vancouver, the 15,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility will feature a showroom large enough to display four vehicles, a convenient service drive-thru area, six mechanical bays, two dedicated EV labs and charging stations, as well as private and open common areas for guests to relax or conduct business. There is also a bright vehicle delivery and test drive area that is entirely enclosed in glass.

Genesis Canada made headlines in 2016 when it adopted a new business model that incorporated online sales, all-inclusive pricing, complimentary scheduled maintenance, and at-home valet services. In an ongoing effort to address the needs of their guests, distributors have made significant investments in facilities where vehicles can be viewed, test driven, acquired, and serviced.

Genesis Retail Experience Centres allow guests to freely transition between online and in-person services based on their schedule and preference. This omni-channel model marks a major milestone in the evolution of Genesis as it furthers its commitment to delivering a frictionless guest experience.

All transactions will continue to be completed online and the Genesis at Home suite of services, from at-home test drives to valet service, will all remain available. 11 GRX facilities have been completed thus far, with seven more under construction and a total of 30 planned across the country. 75 percent will be in development by the end of 2023, with the remaining locations expected to be under construction midway through 2024.
